Fair Trade Swamisz

A partnership with the German based Company "Fairzone" (who do all sorts of beauty/health fair trade/eco products for the Eurozone) brought the resources to the table necessary to get Swamisz into production again and these beautiful plant based sandals have arrived in Australia!

You will notice that the essential simplicity and functional durability of the footwear design remains unchanged. The plug, the strap and the distinctive Swamisz shape are all there. Whats new is a Quadernity Mandala symbol on the plug and under the heel. The sole is a little softer and does not have the tread and plank patterning of the original production - it has a similar feel to a pair of Havaianas natural rubber flip flops. For now we have sizes 6 - 11 in Full Black and Aqua Blue.

The rubber is not only top quality, but . . drum roll . . . Certified Fair Trade. That means, every pair of these Fairzone produced Swamisz invests money directly into the community of Rubber Tappers that harvested Swamisz rubber in Sri Lanka. Swamisz have always been plant-based, biodegradable, durable and great value - but Fair Trade certification takes their footprint one step further towards beautiful.
